First-time Homebuyers
Scott and Leah were first-time homebuyers. Scott just finished med school and got his first placement in residency. We helped them navigate the complicated but excellent program of a doctor’s loan to successfully buy their home in Hilliard in a highly sought-after neighborhood. Their house had several other offers, and the seller wanted to avoid working with a doctor’s loan buyer since they take a bit longer to close than different loan types. However, after we helped give the sellers confidence in our ability to complete the loan promptly, they changed their minds and went without an offer!
Persistence Pays Off
Jazlyn gets our award for the most determined and persistent buyer. We were in the midst of the most competitive market in Ohio’s real estate history. She was continuously beaten out by cash buyers and buyers with deep pockets who could offer way over listing prices. She wasn’t in a position to compete. After over 100 showings and at least 40 offers, we found a house being sold by the owner. The only form of marketing the owner did was put a sign in the yard, nothing online, nothing in any other publications to bring a ton of buyers in. It was on a quiet street, and we lucked out by driving by it one day. There were no other offers on the property (because of the mediocre marketing), so Jazlyn could get the house for what the owner was asking for!
Finding a Fixer-Upper
Karissa was shopping for her first house. She wanted a fixer-upper. We found the perfect one, and she has been working on updating it over the last few months, and it looks great. We were able to connect her with some of our favorite contractors to help her with the work she didn’t want to DIY.
A Perfect Lineup
Gwen moved here from Georgia! She was concerned about moving several hours away and finding the right house without not having a place to stay in the middle of her move. Through virtual showings, we were able to help her pick out the right home and make sure the closing dates lined up perfectly with the sale of her house in Georgia! We won’t hold her loyalty to the Georgia Bulldogs against her.

Chris and Jen lived in a small three-bedroom, one-bathroom home with their four kids and two dogs. It was way too small. We were able to help them not only sell their three-bedroom house for top dollar but negotiate the maximum time for them to find their next house and move in. We were about to leave when they mentioned they owned a bit more land off the back of their property, and that is where it got interesting! The extra land added a ton of value and uniqueness to their home, and we were confident they would make a profit and sell their home for almost double what they owed on their mortgage! We successfully sold their house and made enough profit, and they are now working on buying a place just off the beach in Florida!
