First-time Homebuyers
Scott and Leah were first-time homebuyers. Scott just finished med school and got his first placement in residency. We helped them navigate the complicated but excellent program of a doctor’s loan to successfully buy their home in Hilliard in a highly sought-after neighborhood. Their house had several other offers, and the seller wanted to avoid working with a doctor’s loan buyer since they take a bit longer to close than different loan types. However, after we helped give the sellers confidence in our ability to complete the loan promptly, they changed their minds and went without an offer!
Persistence Pays Off
Jazlyn gets our award for the most determined and persistent buyer. We were in the midst of the most competitive market in Ohio’s real estate history. She was continuously beaten out by cash buyers and buyers with deep pockets who could offer way over listing prices. She wasn’t in a position to compete. After over 100 showings and at least 40 offers, we found a house being sold by the owner. The only form of marketing the owner did was put a sign in the yard, nothing online, nothing in any other publications to bring a ton of buyers in. It was on a quiet street, and we lucked out by driving by it one day. There were no other offers on the property (because of the mediocre marketing), so Jazlyn could get the house for what the owner was asking for!
Finding a Fixer-Upper
Karissa was shopping for her first house. She wanted a fixer-upper. We found the perfect one, and she has been working on updating it over the last few months, and it looks great. We were able to connect her with some of our favorite contractors to help her with the work she didn’t want to DIY.
A Perfect Lineup
Gwen moved here from Georgia! She was concerned about moving several hours away and finding the right house without not having a place to stay in the middle of her move. Through virtual showings, we were able to help her pick out the right home and make sure the closing dates lined up perfectly with the sale of her house in Georgia! We won’t hold her loyalty to the Georgia Bulldogs against her.
Space for Everyone
Chris and Jen lived in a small three-bedroom, one-bathroom home with their four kids and two dogs. It was way too small. We were able to help them not only sell their three-bedroom house for top dollar but negotiate the maximum time for them to find their next house and move in. They are now living in a four-bedroom, three-bathroom home with a huge basement and a backyard.
A Smooth Transition
The Crafts had a home they lived in before moving to an assisted living facility. We worked with their kids to ensure the home was positioned to sell for as much as possible to help them continue living in their care facility as comfortably as possible.
Room to Run
Brad and Kylee lived in a small house with a small yard and wanted some room, not only in the house but also in the yard, for their dogs and kids to run around. We were able to help them sell their house and get the closing dates lined up so that they only had to move once.
Making Dreams Come True
The Kirvinks had a dream of moving to Florida and enjoying the sunshine. The problem was that they thought their home was worth little more than the mortgage they owed. They had decided to stay put and make the most of living in cold, snowy Ohio. Luckily they connected with us on social media and saw that we had sold a few homes in their neighborhood for much more than they thought their house was worth. We went over and were confident we could sell their house and make them a decent profit even after paying off their mortgage. We were about to leave when they mentioned they owned a bit more land off the back of their property, and that is where it got interesting! The extra land added a ton of value and uniqueness to their home, and we were confident they would make a profit and sell their home for almost double what they owed on their mortgage! We successfully sold their house and made enough profit, and they are now working on buying a place just off the beach in Florida!

We talked to a number of real estate agents before we came across John. What set him apart from the beginning was his level of organization, professionalism, and energetic spirit. From day one, he carefully walked us through the entire process from start to finish, letting us keep a folder of all the information for future reference. No other realtors did that. John and his team were on top of things every step of the way. We would reach out late at night about a showing and get it scheduled for the next day. In this market, time is everything and John and his team move at the speed of light. We had a unique situation with the house we sold given it was on a busy road and had commercial property nearby. John advertised the property as having “commercial potential” and we ended up getting $100K more than what many other realtors said we would get. He also helped us find our new home which we ended up getting below list price. We reached out to John through a friend who bought a home and had John as their realtor. John and his team is one of the hardest working people out there and they are always available to help us through the process. They are transparent and up front with everything that is going on. Another big advantage is that John is pretty well connected and that makes it easy as they have done business with other clients of John’s. Guanael was a part of that team and he helped set up tours for us, sometimes within the hour we request to see a house. Before the process began, John met with us and walked through the process from a realtor side as well as a little bit from the finance side. He also knows contractors and loan companies that he trusts so you never feel like you are alone trying find whatever person you need to close the deal. I would highly recommend this team for anyone looking for a home or selling a home.
